TULSA, Okla. – Levi Coleman is back for his seventh season with Tulsa Athletic as he became the 20th announced player for the upcoming 2019 season. Coleman has played every season for Tulsa Athletic since the inaugural season in 2013.

Levi brings a high level of knowledge of the game of soccer as he has tons of playing and coaching experience. We look forward to having him back for the upcoming season.”
Coleman, a Tulsa native, has played for Tulsa Athletic in every season since the inaugural campaign in 2013, and the forward has totaled 36 goals in his six previous seasons, including being the club’s leading scoring in first three years. He helped the club win three South Central Conference championships and advance to the South Region Finals in 2014.
A season ago, Coleman played in eight contests with one start. He scored two goals during the 2018 season.
In the 2017 season, the striker made 10 starts and 11 appearances for Tulsa Athletic. Coleman tallied three goals, including one game winner. For the season, he played 675 minutes in the 11 contests.
Coleman led the team in scoring in the first three seasons in 2013-15. In the three years, the Tulsan posted 30 goals and led Tulsa Athletic to the 2013 and 2014 South Central Division championships. Coleman helped the club win the 2016 South Central Conference regular season title.
Before his time with Tulsa Athletic, Coleman played professionally with the Charleston Battery from 2010-11. He made 27 appearances and scored two goals in his time with the Battery, helping the team win the United Soccer League Division 2 title in 2010. Coleman also played professional indoor soccer for the Tulsa Revolution.
In his collegiate career, Coleman played at UMKC and Florida International. At UMKC, he was named all-conference second team by the Summit League and to the all-newcomer team. He started all 19 matches and totaled 1,706 minutes. Coleman finished with three goals and a team-high six assists, ranking second in the league. His 12 points were third most on the team.
Coleman started his college career with two seasons at Florida International. As a sophomore, he appeared in all 18 matches with 17 starts, scoring one goal. In his freshman campaign, Coleman was named to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team. The striker tied for third on the team with four goals and nine points. He recorded a hat trick against Marshall and added an assist for seven points. The three goals tied for the league and team high in goals in a match that season. For the year, he appeared in 15 contests with two starts.
Coleman finished his prep career with 72 goals and 40 assists as he played for Booker T. Washington High School for two years before finishing his high school career at Broken Arrow High School. He finished as the Oklahoma state runner-up three times during his career, including twice at Broken Arrow. Coleman was named all-conference, all-district, all-state and Tulsa World Metro Player of the Year as a senior as he scored 21 goals and posted 15 assists. As a freshman, he was named the top newcomer and all-district. His sophomore season saw Coleman selected all-district, all-conference and team MVP.
Tulsa Athletic open the 2019 season on May 5 when the club plays host to Little Rock Rangers at home at Veterans Park. Start time is set for 2 p.m. with single game tickets available for as low as $5 for general admission.
