PARKVILLE, Mo. – After two weather delays, Tulsa Athletic used a late goal to come away with a 2-2 draw at Kansas City Sol on Wednesday (May 31) at Park University.

With the tie, Tulsa Athletic moved to 3-1-1 on the season with 10 points in the Heartland Conference standing.

Ryan Braake tallied the equalizer in the 79th minute, his first goal in the green and yellow, to make it 2-2 late in the match.

Abou Diallo continued his hot start to the season with Tulsa Athletic’s first goal in the 25th minute to give the visiting side the 1-0 edge. The goal was Diallo’s club-leading sixth goal of the season in only five NPSL matches.

About five minutes before halftime, a lightning delay halted the match for 30 minutes.

After the delay, Kansas City Sol was able to tally two goals in 10 minutes. KC evened the score at 1-1 in the 56th minute and took the lead at 2-1 in the 66th minute.

Another weather delay shortly after the second Kansas City goal stopped the contest for about an hour.

Tulsa Athletic ends its three-match road trip at Demize NPSL on Saturday, June 3 in Springfield, Missouri. A live video stream will be available for the contest.
