Tulsa Athletic Returns Home for Key Matchup against OKC

CLAREMORE, Okla. – After a long break, Tulsa Athletic are back at home to take on Heartland Conference leading OKC 1889 FC Saturday tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Solider Field on the campus of Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma.

If you can’t make it out to Claremore, Heirloom Rustic Ales is hosting a watch party for the match. $5 beers and Dante’s Woodfire pizza will be available plus prizes raffled off for anyone in attendance.

Tulsa Athletic is back home for the first time in nearly a month with the last match at RSU coming back on May 20 in a 2-0 win over Reign FK. Tulsa Athletic went on the road in three straight Heartland Conference matches, going 0-1-2.

The green and yellow currently ranks second in the Heartland Conference standings with a 3-1-2 record and 11 points. Visiting OKC 1889 FC sits at the top of the table with a 4-1-1 record and 13 points.

With only two points between the two clubs, the winner of Saturday’s match will hold the conference edge with only three matches left in the regular season.

The two clubs met earlier this season in OKC with the home side scoring an early goal for a 1-0 win.

Tulsa Athletic is 2-0-0 at home this season at RSU. OKC on the road is 0-1-1.

The home contest starts a stretch of three-straight matches in green country for Tulsa Athletic. After tonight’s match, the green and yellow hosts Arkansas Wolves on June 24 and then welcomes Kansas City Sol on July 1.
