
WICHITA – FC Wichita used three second-half goals to down Tulsa Athletic, 4-2, on Saturday (May 17) at Stryker Soccer Stadium in The League for Clubs action.
Tulsa Athletic fell to 0-2-0 on the season as the green and yellow are still searching for their first The League for Clubs win, while FC Wichita moved to 1-0-0 in The League for Clubs action.
The visitors scored first and held a 2-1 advantage after the first 45 minutes of action.
Gustavo Vargas gave Tulsa Athletic a 1-0 edge in the fourth minute of action with his first goal of the 2025 season.
After Wichita evened the score at 1-1 in the 16th minute, David Palade put the green and yellow up 2-1 in the first half with his team-leading second goal of the season.
Wichita tallied two goals early in the second half to take a 3-2 lead before a late goal upped the margin to 4-2. In the 49th minute, Wichita tied the score at 2-2. Only minutes later, the home side took the lead at 3-2. Wichita added their final goal in the 82nd minute.
