FC Tulsa’s Chris Pearson and Chase Bromstedt Join Tulsa Athletic

TULSA – Tulsa Athletic added Chris Pearson and Chase Bromstedt from local professional club FC Tulsa as the duo join Tulsa Athletic for the rest of the UPSL fall season. 

 

Pearson, a 6-2 midfielder from Montego Bay, Jamaica, appeared in 16 games for FC Tulsa with four starts in the 2023 season. Pearson logged 446 minutes in the 2023 season at FC Tulsa. In his first season with FC Tulsa in 2022, Pearson appeared six times with four starts. Before joining FC Tulsa in 2022, Pearson played for Cavalier FC in the Jamaican National Premier League, totaling seven starts and one goal. 

Pearson played four seasons for Kingston College in the Jamaican Schoolboy Soccer League from 2019 to 2022. Pearson was named the MVP of the league in 2022 after leading the league with nine goals. 

 

Pearson has been capped five times with the Jamaican U20 side in the 2022 CONCACAF U20 Championship. He captained the team twice and played 436 minutes. Pearson was selected three times by Jamaica’s senior squad in its final World Cup Qualifying window in March 2022 against El Salvador, Canada and Honduras. 

 

Bromstedt, a 5-10 defender from Parkville, Missouri, played in four games with two starts during the 2023 for FC Tulsa, his first season with the club. 

In his 2022 season, Bromstedt made 14 USL Championship appearances with two starts for Las Vegas Lights. He logged his first professional assist in September in a 4-0 win over Monterey FC. 

 

Bromstedt is a five-year letterwinner for University of Tulsa. He started 65 games and appeared in 75 contests in his time at TU, totaling nine goals and 13 assists. In his final collegiate season, Bromstedt was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Second Team and American All-Conference First Team. As a senior, Bromstedt earned United Soccer Coaches All-East Second Team honors and was named to the American All-Conference Second Team. 

 

Bromstedt played in USL League Two with Kaw Valley FC from 2019 to 2021. 

 

Tulsa Athletic is currently 5-1-1 during the UPSL fall season and ranks first in the OK – AR Conference. The green and yellow are on a six-game unbeaten streak, which includes five straight wins. 

 

Tulsa Athletic returns to action on Wednesday, Oct 25 at 7:30 p.m. when the green and yellow play host to Side FC 92 at Athletic Community Field at Hicks Park.
