EDMOND, Okla. – Tulsa Athletic travels to Edmond this Saturday (July 18) to take on Oklahoma United FC in the Central Region Championship at 7 p.m. at Chad Richison Stadium on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma.
Tickets are $10 for adults. A live video stream will be available on The League for Clubs YouTube channel.
Tulsa Athletic won the Mid-American Conference Championship on Sunday (July 12) with a 3-1 victory over No. 1-seeded Evolution SC. After the match was tied 1-1 through 90 minutes, the green and yellow scored two overtime goals to advance to the regional final. Abou Diallo scored the game-winning goal in the first overtime period. Ismael Reyes scored the equalizer in regulation and added his second goal late in overtime for the 3-1 final.
The green and yellow are on a five-match winning streak following the conference championship victory.
Oklahoma United FC, a new member of The League for Clubs in 2026, won the Red River Conference by defeating FC Dallas U23s, 2-0, on Sunday in Edmond. During the regular season, OUFC went 8-1-1 with 25 points.
Tulsa Athletic is looking to repeat as The League for Clubs Central Region champion after winning the title in 2025. The green and yellow have captured four consecutive regional championships since 2021 and have appeared in six regional championship matches.
The winner of the Central Region Championship advances to the National Finals in Denton, Texas, at Norma Knobel Hunt Stadium on the campus of the University of North Texas. The semifinals are set for Friday, July 24, and the 2026 TLfC National Championship will be be held on Sunday, July 26, at 7 p.m.
