
TULSA – Tulsa Athletic returns home for two straight games and starts on Wednesday (June 11) at the green and yellow plays host to in-state rival OKC 1889 FC at 7:30 p.m. at Athletic Community Field at Hicks Park.

Tulsa Athletic is currently on a two-game winning streak after defeating Union KC and OKC 1889 FC in two road games. For the season, they rank second in the conference with six points, tied with OKC.
On Sunday, the green and yellow defeated Union KC, 2-1, on a late game-winning goal by Gustavo Vargas. David Palade scored the opening goal in the win. Tulsa Athletic earned their first road win of the season with a 2-1 victory over OKC 1889 FC. Luis Flores scored the game winner in that contest, and Palade added a goal to even the score at 1-1 in the second half.
Palade leads the green and yellow with four goals in four games this season. Vargas is second with two goals.
OKC 1889 FC is on a two-game losing streak after a 3-1 loss at FC Wichita on Saturday. The Saturday before they lost to Tulsa Athletic 2-1 at home. On the season, OKC 1889 FC is 2-0-2 with six points in the Mid-America Conference standings.
