TULSA – Tulsa Athletic returns home to take on Union KC on Saturday (June 28) at 7:30 p.m. at Athletic Community Field at Hicks Park on Legends Night. Tickets are available online, and a live video stream will be available.
Tulsa legends Joe Garcia and Levi Coleman will be inducted into the Tulsa Athletic Hall of Fame at the game. The pair join Dave Leung in the club’s HOF.
Tulsa Athletic is looking to stay in the race for the playoffs with only two games remaining in the regular season. The green and yellow currently rank second in the Mid-American Conference with 13 points and a 4-1-3 record. OKC 1889 FC is up by two points with 15 and a 5-0-3 record. The top two teams in the four-team conference advance to the playoffs.
Union KC comes to Tulsa for the first time in club history. UKC recently picked up their first win of the season on Wednesday (June 25) with a 3-2 victory over FC Wichita. Union KC tallied two goals in the final minutes to rally for the win. UKC is 1-3-4 on the season with six points.
Tulsa Athletic started the week with a 2-0 loss at OKC 1889 FC on Wednesday (June 25) in Oklahoma City. After a scoreless first half, OKC scored twice in the second half.
With a win on Saturday night, Tulsa could clinch a spot in the postseason depending on the outcome of the other Saturday night conference contest.
Tulsa Athletic ends the regular season with their home finale on Wednesday, July 2 against FC Wichita at 7:30 p.m. at Athletic Community Field at Hicks Park.
