TULSA – Tulsa Athletic hosts rival FC Wichita on Saturday (June 14) in a matchup of the top two teams in the Mid-American Conference at 7:30 p.m. at Athletic Community Field at Hicks Park.

FC Wichita currently leads the conference with a 3-1-0 record with 10 points. They started with three wins to open the 2025 campaign, but drew at Union KC on Wednesday to sit at 10 points.

Tulsa Athletic ranks second in the conference with a 3-0-2 record with nine points. The green and yellow are currently on a three-game winning streak after starting the season with two straight defeats.

The green and yellow started this week with a 2-0 win over OKC 1990 FC on Wednesday. Luis Flores finished with a brace with two goals in the win. Bryson Reed had the shutout win in goal. Before Wednesday, Tulsa won 2-1 at Union KC on a late game-winning goal from Gustavo Vargas.

David Palade leads the green and yellow with four goals in four games this season. After the brace on Wednesday, Flores has three goals on the season, all against OKC. Vargas ranks third on the team with two goals.

The history between these two clubs goes back to 2015 when both clubs were in the NPSL. This season is the first time the clubs have met since 2019. FC Wichita joined USL League Two from 2020 to 2024.

After Saturday’s game, Tulsa Athletic goes on the road for two contests. The stretch starts at Union KC on Saturday, June 21. And the green and yellow play their final road game of the regular season on June 25 at Oklahoma City.
