ROGERS, Ark. – Tulsa Athletic scored two second-half goals to pull away for a 3-1 victory at NWA Pro U20 on Sunday (Sept. 29) at Veterans Park in UPSL regular season action.
Tulsa Athletic moved to 4-1-0 in the UPSL season.
The green and yellow scored in the first half to hold a 1-0 lead at halftime. After the home side evened the score at 1-1 in the second half, Tulsa Athletic tallied two consecutive goals to earn the victory, their third straight win this season.
The scoring opened midway through the first half when Joe Ruiz scored to give Tulsa the 1-0 advantage.
After NWA U20 tied the score at 1-1 midway through the second half, Tulsa Athletic scored two late goals to take the win. Aaron Ugbah scored the game-winning goal to give the green and yellow a 2-1 edge.
Jacob Zammeron added an insurance goal late in the contest to up the margin to 3-1.
Captain Bryson Reed went the full 90 minutes in goal and allowed only one goal. For the season, Reed has a 0.50 goals against average with four wins.
Tulsa Athletic is back on the road at Ryogoku on October 12 in Kansas City.
