COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa – Tulsa Athletic scored two overtime goals to earn a 3-1 victory after 120 minutes and capture its second straight Mid-American Conference Championship in The League for Clubs on Sunday (July 12) at Wiebe Football/Soccer Complex.

Tulsa Athletic earned its second straight Mid-American Conference Championship and sixth consecutive conference championship overall. The Green and Yellow advance to the Central Region Championship, where they will face Oklahoma United in Oklahoma City on July 18 or 19.

Ismael Reyes recorded a brace with two goals, while Abou Diallo scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lead Tulsa Athletic to the 3-1 victory.

Late in the first overtime period, Diallo scored on a loose ball in front of goal following a free kick in the 104th minute to give Tulsa Athletic a 2-1 lead. Reyes sealed the victory in the 120th minute with his second goal of the match, extending the lead to 3-1.

After a scoreless first half, Evolution SC took a 1-0 lead in the 66th minute.

Reyes equalized in the 77th minute, pulling the Green and Yellow level at 1-1 late in regulation.

Tulsa Athletic continued to press for the winner in regulation, but several late chances—including a free header at the near post off a corner kick—were turned away as the match remained tied 1-1 after 90 minutes.

Bryson Reed started in goal and played all 120 minutes, making several outstanding saves while allowing just one goal in the victory.

The Green and Yellow extended their winning streak to five matches this season.

Tulsa Athletic has now won six consecutive conference championships dating back to the 2019 season. Before capturing the past two Mid-American Conference titles, the Green and Yellow won four straight Heartland Conference championships (2019, 2021-23).
