The green and yellow are on an 11-match unbeaten streak in Heartland Conference regular season play dating back to the beginning of the 2019 season.

In its first-ever NPSL game, Reign FK played to a 1-1 draw against OKC 1889 in Bartlesville on May 1. Reign FK scored early on a goal from Jesus Ramirez, but OKC 1889 evened the score right at the end of the 90 minutes for the 1-1 final.

Garcia played every minute of 14 games in the midfield during the season. Aboubakr Diallo added five goals as he returns for the 2021 season after playing in all 14 games in the 2019 campaign as a forward. Other returning goalscorers from the 2019 squad include Santiago Riveros (three goals), Alex Harris (two goals), Joe Ruiz (two goals) and Aaron Ugbah (two goals).

Tulsa Athletic, Reign FK, OKC 1889 and Arkansas Wolves all sit at one point in the league standings after one week of Heartland Conference play. Dallas City FC and Demize NPSL are yet to start Heartland Conference action.
