Tulsa Athletic U-20’s pulled off the ol’ “smash and grab” vs. FF Premier Saturday evening in Dallas in the battle of the week 1 victors. Jack Bratcher and Whitney Gonsalves each notched their second tally of the year as young Athletic stormed out to a 2-0 lead after just 20 minutes. Derick Pettiway cut the home side’s deficit in half after shaking free from his marker on a corner in the 35th minute to slot home. Athletic is yet to concede from the run of play this campaign (surely to be jinxed after being mentioned in this article). The home side continually applied the pressure in the second stanza but were unable to completely unlock the young 20’s defense. The result means that TA20 go three points clear at the top of the table. Sunday see’s former NPSL side Tyler FC  travel to Tulsa face the high flying young 20’s.

Kickoff vs. Tyler FC is at 2:00 at the Union Soccer Complex Championship Field. Admission is free. Donations are welcome and the purchasing of merchandise is appreciated.
