TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Athletic added their 12th signing for the 2019 season with the addition of All-American striker Aboubakr Diallo from Oklahoma City University.
“With Aboubakr Diallo on the team, we added another prolific scorer to the 2019 attack,” Daniel DeVore, GM of Tulsa Athletic said. “In the offseason, we emphasized adding more offense, and Aboubakr brings that after having an All-American senior season at Oklahoma City. He also showed us he can be successful in the Heartland Conference after playing for the Demize in the 2017 season. Aboubakr will be fun to watch as he creates scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. He is another weapon for the club on offense this season.”

Twice Diallo tallied four goals in a match in 2018 to tie for the most goals by an individual in the league during the 2018 season. Diallo scored all four goals in a 4-3 victory over John Brown (Ark.) and added four more goals and two assists in a 9-0 win over Bacone.
During his junior campaign, Diallo was named All-Sooner Athletic Conference Second Team as he registered six goals and five assists in 18 contests. He started in 18 matches and posted 49 shots and 24 shots on goal. The junior totaled a brace with two goals against Texas A&M-Texarkana.
